The No. 10 Seminole softball team is now at 20 straight wins after securing the series with their 4-2 win over the No. 19 Clemson Tigers.

The Florida State Seminole softball team defeated the Clemson Tigers 4-2 to secure the series and push their win streak to 20 games.

In one of the few occasions when FSU had to rally to win the game, the No. 10 Noles are riding the nation's second-longest win streak, while still unbeaten in the ACC at 8-0, and remain undefeated on the road at 5-0.

The Tigers started the scoring in the bottom of the first after lead-off hitter Jamison Brockenbough was walked and freshman Mac Pavese was plunked. With two on, sophomore Marion Collins grounded out, but brough Brockenbrough home from second. The Noles were down 1-0 after the first.

Neither team recorded a hit for the first three innings.

The top of the fourth saw Jaysoni Beachum hit a single, but she was thrown out at home plate later in the inning. Shelby McKenzie reached second, Danley would walk to first, and with two on, Bella Ruggiero cracked a double, plating both runners as the Tigers committed an error.

Kylee Johnson hit a single in the fifth and scored on a bunt by Kiley Channell. The game was tied 2-2.

The Noles put the game away in the sixth inning, when Anna Hinde blasted a two-run homer to score Ruggiero, who walked earlier in the inning. That put the Noles up 4-2 for what turned out to be the final tally.

FSU was 1-4 against ranked teams heading into this series, and are now 3-4 versus ranked teams after two games played.

Ashtyn Danley got the win and improves her record to 7-1. Danley retired the final six batters to close the game out.

The historic hitting streak ended for All American Isa Torres. Torres, who is having one of the greatest seasons in college softball history, was on a 13-game hitting streak, and was leading the country with a .655 batting average. McKenzie also saw her streak of nine straight games with an RBI come to an end.

The Noles will look to sweep the Tigers in Game 3 of their three-game series. The first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Sunday in Clemson, South Carolina.

The Noles will not only be going for their second consecutive sweep, and also for Win No. 21 in their historic streak.
