Florida States softball is on a 18 win streak as the No. 10 Noles have notched their fourth run rule win in a row beating North Florida 8-0. All American Isa Torres has been a major reason the Noles have had this success as the shortstop went 3-for-3 including a lead off home run.

Florida State softball (29-4, 6-0 ACC) won its 18th consecutive game Tuesday, run-ruling North Florida 8-0 at UNF Softball Complex in Jacksonville, Florida.

The red-hot Seminoles have now won their fourth straight game by the run rule. The Noles scored runs in the first three innings of the game, and that was enough to take down the Ospreys (26-10, 1-5 ASUN) in five innings.

For the third time this season All American Isa Torres led the charge, hitting her third lead-off home run for the No. 10 Seminoles. The Noles were up 1-0 after the first inning.

Torres continued to do damage in the second, advancing to third off of a bunt when North Florida infielder Kadyn Camper committed a throwing error. Marin Heller scored from first base on the error, giving Torres her second RBI of the game.

Torres then scored when current ACC Player of the Week and National Player of the Week Shelby McKenzie hit a sacrifice fly. Ashley Danley then hit a two-run homer to put the Seminoles up 5-0 after two innings.

With Makenna Sturgis at second base and Marin Heller at first, Torres cracked a double, bringing both runners home. Torres then scored on a Jaysoni Beachum single to left field. The Noles were up 8-0 after three innings.

The fourth inning was scoreless and the Noles brought in Makenna Reid and Bella Dimitrijevic to close out the fifth.

Florida State is now 20-1 all-time against North Florida.

Torres was a major contributor for the Noles going 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. The shortstop is leading the nation with a .655 batting average, and is primed for another possible ACC Player of the Week honor.

Pitcher Jazzy Francik pitched three innings, giving up two hits and striking out two, with no runs scored. Francik moves to 12-1 on the season, and already has two more wins than she had last season.

The Garnet and Gold are now preparing to take their win streak on the road in the ACC, and will face Clemson (22-10, 6-3) in a three-game series starting Friday.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET at McWhorter Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.
