The Noles will play their first ACC road series when they travel to Clemson, SC for the series which starts Friday. FSU is 1-4 against ranked teams this year and will have their 18 game win streak challenged by a hot Clemson Tigers team which is ranked No. 19 in the country.

No. 10 Florida State softball is traveling to play the No. 19 Clemson Tigers for their first ACC road trip series.

The Noles, who are undefeated on the road at 3-0, and within ACC play at 6-0, are traveling to Clemson on Friday for the first of a three game series.

FSU is currently riding an 18 game winning streak, and has won its last four games by the mercy rule. Clemson is coming off of a 8-0 run-rule win against then-No. 19 South Carolina, and have ranked wins against Mississippi St, Oregon, and Georgia.

Florida State has been electric at the plate this season. Isa Torres, Shelby McKenzie and Ashtyn Danely have all been tremendous in the batters box for FSU this season.

All American Isa Torres has already been named D1 Softball’s National Player of the Week, as well as back-to-back ACC Player of the Week.

Torres has successfully reached first base in her last 23 plate appearances, and leads the nation batting .655.

Shelby Mckenzie was recently named NFCA National Player of the Week, and was also named ACC Player of the Week. Mckenzie's dominant performance in the Cal series is what propelled her to win the Player of the Week awards.

The sophomore utility player went 6-for-7 at the plate, while hitting two homers, drove in seven RBI, and is batted ,857 in that series. Mckenzie currently leads the Noles with seven home runs.

Ashtyn Danley is also having a breakout season for the garnet and gold. The junior All ACC performer is batting .340, with 25 RBI and four homers. The utility player also has a 3.08 ERA for the season.

On the mound, the Noles Jazzy Francik already has two more wins than she did last year, and is 12-1 on the season. Francik was named Freshman All American last year, and has already been named ACC Pitcher of the week twice this season.

For the Tigers, Infielder Marion Collins is batting .370 and is second on the team with five home runs and 27 RBI.

Mac Pavese is batting .385 and leads the team with 40 hits. She also has 27 RBI which ties the team lead with Collins. Her four homers are second on the team.

Corri Hicks leads the Tigers with six home runs, and is batting .247 on the season.

On the mound the Tigers are led by Sierra Maness. Maness is 13-3 on the season with a 1.78 ERA.

On paper it appears that the Noles might have the edge.

What plays into the Tigers favor is that FSU is 1-4 on the season against ranked teams.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6pm Friday evening.
