Florida State needs future wins. Discover three dynamic quarterbacks whose talent could revitalize the Seminoles' roster immediately.

For college football coaches, building a talented roster for the future is as important as ever in today’s game.  And, as the most important position on the field, quarterback is a good place to start.

By the grace of the football gods, Florida State coach Mike Norvell has been given one more season on the sidelines at Doak Campbell Stadium. After going 7-17 the past two seasons, Norvell’s coaching seat is arguably the hottest in college football going into the 2026 season.

To douse the flames, Norvell and Florida State must win football games. Not only this season, but in the future. Here are three quarterback recruits that the Seminoles should take a look at and to make a scholarship offer ASAP.

Carson White

A dual-threat quarterback at Iowa Colony High School in Rosharon, Texas, White threw for 2,210 yards, 32 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He completed 63 percent of his passes.

In 11 of 12 games last season, White threw multiple TD passes, and in five of those games, he completed better than 70 percent of his passes.

As the starting gunslinger for the Pioneers, White is highly decorated. In 2023, he was the Newcomer of the Year in District 12-4A, Division I. In 2024, White was named the district’s offensive MVP. White has been named to the roster for the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl.

In addition, White was named a Top performer at the Elite 11 Texas Camp.

White currently has 21 Power-4 offers, including one from Scott Frost and the UCF Knight. Is Norvell going to stand by and let UCF be the only Florida school to offer White? We shall see.

Braden Baker

A product of Cy-Ranch High School in Cypress, Texas, Baker is a top-100 prospect in the State of Texas and the No. 32 quarterback recruit nationally.

At 6-foot-5, 190 pounds, Baker passed for 2,806 yards and 32 touchdowns. Even more impressive is the fact he only threw one interception in 256 pass attempts, and that did not come until week 8 of the season.

Baker posted a season-high 414 yards and five touchdowns in a 62-7 win over New Caney, and was named Player of the Game, the first of six such awards for Baker last season. After a 1-2 start, Baker led his team to nine consecutive victories before losing to Waxahachie to end their season with a 10-3 record.

Luke Babin

The Woodville (Texas) Eagles QB1 starter led his team to a 9-3 record last season. He posted three games over 300 yards passing, including a season-high 365 yards and eight touchdowns in a 68-35 win over Trinity. He threw zero INTs in that game.

Babin passed for over 3,000 yards, touchdowns and only five interceptions last season. He did not throw his first INT until Week 7. As a sophomore in 2024, Babin led the Eagles to a runner-up finish in 3A-D2 in the Texas Football State Championship.

Last month, Babin was named the MVP of the Rivals Elite QB Camp, held in Houston.

All three of these talented passers are accurate with the football and ball security is in their wheelhouse. Either of these quarterback prospects would make a fine addition to the Seminoles roster.
