Florida State ramps up recruiting momentum with a key update on a three-star cornerback target as the Seminoles look to strengthen their secondary.

The Florida State Seminoles are in the mix for Ai’King Hall, one of more than a dozen programs to put a scholarship on the table for the 2027 four-star cornerback.

The Dothan, Alabama, native has scheduled his first official visit to Tallahassee for June 5, according to multiple reports.

In a recent chat with Chad Simmons of Rivals, according to a FSUWire story by JD McCarthy, Hall said the Seminoles check in with him and his parents nearly every day.

Ai’King Hall is trending up on plenty of high-profile recruiting boards.

Right now, he’s slotted at No. 282 overall and the No. 30 corner in the Rivals Industry Ranking, and he's the Class of 2027's No. 15 player coming out of Alabama. Rivals has him as high as No. 39 nationally.

Florida State’s 2027 class currently has five commits in the fold, but none at corner. Since Blue Adams took over as the Noles' new defensive backs coach in late December, he’s widened the recruiting net and is looking to land a difference-maker for the secondary. Hall fits the prototype: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, long frame, smooth hips -- the kind of build coaches can trust in man coverage.

Of course, this isn’t a solo recruitment. Miami and Oregon are both applying pressure, and SEC programs also are in the mix for Hall. The Dothan High standout already holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, and Georgia.

Meanwhile, Tallahassee has been busy with coaching tweaks, roster flips, and recruiting board reshuffles.

And not every target commits.

Back in January, FSU got in early on four-star quarterback Davin Davidson, fresh off a state-title run at Miami Cardinal Mooney. While his recruitment has blown up, last week Davidson trimmed his list to eight: Florida, Miami, Georgia, Auburn, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, and Kentucky.

Though FSU offered Davidson ahead of all eight of his finalists, the Seminoles didn’t survive his cut.
