Chauncey Wiggins didn't shy away from saying he had Feb. 21 circled down the moment he was introduced to Florida State basketball.
He even described the "emotional roller coaster" when addressing reporters during that Oct. 2025 presser.
Well, the roller coaster is here. And Wiggins will head back to the very arena where he spent the bulk of his college basketball years.
This time he's taking the surging Seminoles into the Littlejohn Center for the huge Saturday night showdown against Clemson.
His 'Noles are 13-13 and have won five of their last six games. Clemson, meanwhile, is 20-7 but have fallen in their last three games.
Wiggins indeed addressed the media Friday leading into the Atlantic Coast Conference showdown that indeed carries big March Madness implications.
"It means everything," Wiggins said following Friday's practice via Noles247. "Obviously, I was there for three years. I won a lot of games there, created some great relationships. So it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster."
Head coach Luke Loucks and his staff decided to turn to a closet coach to scout out this Tigers team: Wiggins himself.
"That was a little test," Wiggins said, who added how he envisions becoming a coach one day when his basketball career ends. "Just seeing what the guys on Clemson like to do, how their offense is ran, how they play defense...so I'm just using my voice to tell the players they're going to do this and that."
He plans to take a frozen in time moment when he steps back into his old arena. Including looking for the banner that commemorates the NCAA Tournament appearances during his first two seasons there.
Wiggins will face a far different roster than the one he previously walked into during his Death Valley days. Though he'll probably see one familiar face: Clemson head coach Brad Brownell.
The Tigers coach has led the team since the 2010-11 season and has produced eight different 20-win seasons -- including four straight.
But his team has taken some devastating losses to Virginia Tech (which got blown out by FSU), No. 4 Duke and more recently, Wake Forest.
Still, he'll hear from a loud fanbase that'll try to get under his skin...some already coming after him via social media. Yet some have messaged him luck and hoping for the best for him.
Wiggins is encouraging his own guys to "stay composed and keep working."
An FSU win does more than lift the Noles over .500. But it'll fire up some new March Madness chatter for Florida State.
