Florida State is making an early push for IMG center Ahmadou "Bamba" Touray, the No. 2-ranked recruit in the 2028 class.
Touray is a bona fide 5-star recruit with a nearly perfect 0.9994 composite ranking on 247 Sports.
He currently has only four offers, including the Noles, Georgia, North Carolina State and UNLV.
The Senegal native has taken just one unofficial visit thus far, traveling to Tallahassee in late December for FSU's game against Jacksonville. The Noles offered Touray in late October.
Touray burst onto the scene as a 15-year old phenom in Senegal. Unit 1 Hoop Source's Kim Muhammad highlighted his skill set in August 2025, writing, "Bamba Touray is a name scouts will be tracking closely over the next three years. At 15, he already possesses the physical tools and instincts that hint at long-term professional upside. If his development continues at its current trajectory -- and if he’s placed in the right system with the right mentors -- Touray has the potential to emerge as one of the most intriguing international prospects of his class."
Standing seven feet tall and weighing 205 pounds, Touray already possesses the physical gifts to thrive at the next level. Following a strong AAU circuit with Tre Mann Elite, Touray jumped in ranking, rising from No. 5 and becoming the undisputed top-ranked big man in 2028.
Touray's unique blend of size and athletic ability projects him as a premier prospect at the next level, with NBAdraftpoint calling him a "unicorn."
"Ahmadou 'Bamba' Touray is one of the most intriguing international-born prospects playing in the US right now. The 7’0, 2009-born unicorn has an intriguing blend of size and skill, playing for Tre Mann Elite in 16U and IMG academy."
The same account later hailed Touray as the top African-born prospect in his class, beating out fellow 5-stars like Joel Patrick and Mahamadou Landoure.
Florida State has had success recruiting big men, recently securing the commitment of 4-star Marcis Ponder. Ponder chose the Noles over top-end programs like Alabama, Auburn and Georgia, joining the No. 8 overall recruiting room in the 2026 class.
Touray, only a sophomore, projects as a big-time target for the Noles over the coming years.
