Florida State added some College Football Playoff experience in the trenches on Tuesday.
Now former Texas A&M edge rusher Rylan Kennedy is heading to Tallahassee, according to multiple reports.
Kennedy was a surprise visitor during the first weekend of the new year. He pulled into the FSU campus during a weekend that also hosted Quintrevion Wisner, DJ Lagway, Anthony Colandrea and Ashton Daniels.
Wisner, the Texas Longhorns running back, and former Auburn quarterback Daniels are on board for FSU. The Noles also added East Carolina tight end Desirrio Riles on Tuesday morning on the same day Daniels committed to FSU.
Still, Kennedy's arrival shores up a massive need for Florida State.
The defensive line was the most ravaged position group before the portal -- with seven different departures there. Kennedy brings recent CFP experience to Tallahassee.
He's played in 35 games and totaled 14 tackles in 2025. Kennedy also tallied 3.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage, and grabbed two sacks in a rotational role.
Kennedy brings 40 career tackles with 5.5 tackles for loss. He leaves College Station after three seasons.
The Mansfield, Texas, native went to the Aggies as a three-star talent. Kennedy drew offers from Auburn, Texas, USC and California out of high school before choosing Texas A&M.
He was also a three-star in the portal and left following the 10-3 loss to Miami -- the same Hurricanes team set to play in the CFP semifinals against Ole Miss on Thursday.
Kennedy may not be the last defender added to the roster this week.
Noles247 reports that FSU is hosting USC linebacker Matai Tagoa'i as a transfer portal visitor. He left the Los Angeles region after just one season.
The true freshman played 35 snaps last season, recording four tackles and forcing a fumble.
If Tagoa'i chooses the Seminoles, he'll have three seasons of eligibility left. And he wouldn't be the only recent Trojans departure to land in Tallahassee.
Florida State and Mike Norvell took in big wide receiver target Duce Robinson after he parted ways with USC. Robinson improved with the Noles, setting career highs in receptions (56), receiving yards (1,081) and scoring six touchdowns. He also averaged 19.3 yards per catch in his first season with the team.
Robinson has already decided not to declare for the NFL draft and will return for 2026. Now he'll welcome some new teammates, including Kennedy.
