The Seminoles are making fast-growing WR Deshawn Hall a priority on the recruiting trail.

Is Florida State now after the potential replacement for Duce Robinson? Looks like the Seminoles have found a possibility in Deshawn Hall.

FSU and offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. are pursuing 6-foot-5 wide receiver Hall who's exploding on the recruiting trail. Hall brings a ceiling that's reminiscent of Robinson as a young, growing wideout.

Hall made the decision to dip into football following a lengthy basketball career. That decision produced 40 receptions for 660 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games. He also averaged 16.5 yards per catch.

The native of Prattville, Ala., is being courted for basketball too. March Madness qualifier UCF is one of his offers. Same with Mississippi State, Jackson State, Alabama State and Cincinnati.

But for football, Hall has landed offers from Penn State, Tennessee and in-state school Auburn. Yet now the Seminoles are making him a priority.

FSU fans know the past success the Seminoles have had with big wide receivers. It goes back to Kelvin Benjamin during the Seminoles' last national title run. Then in later years Keon Coleman became a high draft pick and now, Duce Robinson is hearing some pre-NFL Draft chatter.

Hall indeed looks like someone who can ignite future FSU offenses under head coach Mike Norvell. But are the Noles coming after Hall at the right time? Zach Blostein of Noles247 weighed in.

"FSU is a little late to the party here," Blostein began. "It could be difficult to get him to cancel one of his four official visits already set for the primary weekends this summer in favor of a trip to Tallahassee."

Does this mean FSU is already out of the running? Blostein visualized a plan that could work.

"If the Seminoles are to have a shot here, they will need to get Hall to campus over the next few weeks for an unofficial visit," Blostein said.

But again, this element has proved to work in Tallahassee -- which could win over Hall in looking closely at Florida State on the recruiting trail.

"The 'Noles can sell the success they have had with receivers of his stature under the Mike Norvell era, like with Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson and most recently Duce Robinson -- all who measure 6-foot-4 and above," Blostein said.

FSU would land its first non-tight end commit for the 2027 cycle if it manages to win over Hall.
