Florida State's Conor McAneney was arrested on Wednesday at Broward County. Here are the latest details.

Florida State placekicker Conor McAneney was arrested Wednesday on the following charges: Battery of a law enforcement agent, resisting an officer with obstruction of violence, plus trespassing an occupied structure.

Fox Sports South Florida reporter Andy Slater was first to report the arrest, including releasing the mugshot of McAneney. The image shows a busted/bloody lower lip on the kicker.

Trespassing is a first-degree misdemeanor, while resisting an officer with violence and battery on an officer are both third-degree felonies.

Arrest records from Broward County Sheriff revealed the arrest occurred near Rock Bar in Tallahassee around 2:30 a.m. ET.

"The defendant began to grab onto the barrier gates to the business, so I grabbed him under his arms in attempt to make him release his grip,” an officer wrote in McAneney’s arrest report released publicly. “Once away from the bar, I let go of the defendant who then grabbed by arm/shirt and attempted to pull me down, placing me off balance, (and) nearly falling through the barrier into the roadway where traffic was flowing.”

As of Thursday, 12:20 p.m. ET, McAneney has not posted bond. The bond amounts for all three charges are listed at $0.00, but each charges status is listed as pending trial.

McAneney arrived to Tallahassee as a college football transfer portal addition from head coach Mike Norvell and FSU. He also made the jump from the NCAA Division II realm.

The 6-foot-3 kicker played for Quincy University in Illinois. He booted the football in 11 games as both a PK and kickoff specialist for the 2025 season.

McAneney went on to hit 7-of-10 of his field goals. His longest became a 45-yarder. He went on to earn the Great Lakes Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week in the win over William Jewell.

On kickoffs, McAneney averaged 60.2 yards through the air through 49 kicks to the opposing return team. His leg delivered 16 touchbacks in the end zone.

Again, he came to FSU as a transfer addition during the offseason and was expected to join the team for spring practices in March. However, Florida State football players are not practicing during the week as the campus is on spring break.

Florida State already logged three spring practices before taking the rest period. FSU also hasn't provided a comment on the matter, including from the head coach.

McAneney is a native of Plumbridge, Tyrone in Northern Ireland. He played in Gaelic football at the prep level before crossing over to the United States.
