The Georgia Bulldogs could be in trouble here.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been doing some serious work over the last few weeks in the class of 2027 following a slow start to the cycle, and with official visit season in full swing, the urgency is as high as ever right now.

If Kirby Smart and this staff are going to haul in another elite recruiting class, this and next month are absolutely massive, but as is the case every year, they simply cannot get everyone they're going after.

With more big names on campus in Athens this weekend, there could be some positive headlines in the coming days, but one name who is gong to be elsewhere is highly-coveted defensive line recruit Seth Tillman.

Despite being projected to the Bulldogs for a while now, Tillman is going to be in Clemson, who has trended hard for him the last few weeks. According to some intel from Chad Simmons of Rivals, the Tigers have been red hot on the trail and moved up the ladder for his commitment.

Clemson Trending for Georgia Target Seth Tillman

The Rock Hill, South Carolina product has taken plenty of visits to Clemson throughout his recruitment, but this weekend feels a little bit different as teams start to lock down their classes. Given that the Tigers are the in-state power, they were the favorite from the start, but an official visit to Athens at the end of May shifted things.

The Tigers did not go down without a fight though, and Dabo Swinney is certainly going to try to get Tillman to commit this weekend and take the Dawgs out of the picture entirely.

Schools like South Carolina, Michigan and Kentucky are all involved as well, but this certainly looks like a race which will come down to Smart and Swinney.

What Kind of Skillset Tillman Would Bring to Georgia

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing close to 300 pounds, Tillman has experience on the edge and on the inside, likely projecting at the next level to kick inside especially if he continues to grow.

He is one of the top uncommitted defensive linemen in the nation, rated by 247 composite as the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina and the No. 123 player in the country overall regardless of position. This is a guy that projects as a future starter on a big time defense, and if he can come to Georgia and develop the way Smart and the staff have done for other defensive linemen, he could be a star eventually.

Time will tell if the Dawgs are able to lock up a commitment though, and Clemson is going to make it tough this weekend.
