The Georgia Bulldogs may not land this in-state cornerback.

The Georgia Bulldogs are still going after a ton of prospects not only for the class of 2028, but also still trying to add a couple of names in the class of 2027. The group of commits right now is far from elite by Bulldogs standards ahead of signing day, and there is an all-out press to land a couple of targets.

In the same week the Dawgs were able to land the top JUCO prospect in the nation in cornerback Alius Mayo, another corner who the Dawgs have been strongly pursuing for months appears to be trending elsewhere. In-state three star out of Loganville (Grayson High) Preston Glasco has been committed to UConnn for some time, but as SEC programs circle, a flip seems imminent.

While Georgia looked like the team to beat, new intel from Rivals reveals that following a visit this past weekend, Glasco is trending towards the Alabama Crimson Tide with another visit potentially set for the Dawgs visit to Tuscaloosa next week.

Glasco Trending Towards Flip to Alabama

"...coming out of the weekend, Alabama has the momentum," Chad Simmons wrote. "This recruitment is moving quickly, and the Crimson Tide have put themselves in a strong position."

By the sounds of it, Glasco could make things official at some point in the next couple of weeks, and while the Dawgs could try to make a final push, no visit back to Athens is scheduled at this time. Glasco has ascended quickly in terms of rankings, with Tennessee and South Carolina also in hot pursuit of the Grayson standout.

A quality and productive player for a great powerhouse program in the state, Glasco will likely enter college football more prepared than most and be able to contribute earlier in his career.

This was likely the selling point for the commitment to UConn, but as he blooms in his senior season of high school ball and the SEC powers begin to take notice, perhaps that is not quite as intriguing as staying in the South and playing for a major program.

As of right now, it seems more likely than not that the program he chooses is the Crimson Tide, however there is still time for Georgia to turn things around if they truly are determined to keep him from leaving the state.

Glasco is worth watching closely over the coming weeks, and it seems he is getting closer than ever to a decision being made which will decide his future.
