The Georgia Bulldogs have one of the best offensive linemen in the nation.

The Georgia Bulldogs are just a few weeks away from the start of the season, and fans are hoping to see the team take another step with a deep postseason run after early exits the last few years.

If Kirby Smart is going to get this team playing deep into January, the strengths of the group will have to be just that, and the roster unquestionably has some real strengths. One of them which maybe has even been under-discussed this offseason is the offensive line.

With an impressive blend of youth and veteran talent, the Bulldogs have the chance to be one of the best in all of college football, and one of those veterans is arguably the most rock solid and dependable player on the whole team. Headed into his redshirt senior season, center Drew Bobo is looking to finish off his career in Athens the right way.

Though Bobo would be the first to tell you this year is about the team and not about him, he did receive some nice recognition this week with a nomination for a prestigious preseason watch list for one of the highest honors a lineman can get.

Bobo was the only player on the list for Georgia, which is even more impressive given the fact that it includes both offensive and defensive players along the lines. For all the impressive linemen the Bulldogs have, Bobo's steady play and reliability make him stand out from the rest of the team.

Importantly, the award goes beyond just talent on the field and also recognizes discipline and leadership as well which no one exemplifies on this Georgia team better than Bobo has over the years.

Bobo was a captain last season and assuredly will be once again in 2026, always putting his best foot forward on the field and in the locker room. Should he have another great season with productive play and full health -- something which proved easier said than done last year -- he may have a great chance at actually taking the award home.

More importantly, another great year for Bobo would also give the Bulldogs a great chance at winning a national title and potentially place him in some serious NFL Draft conversations.

These preseason awards don't have much impact on the season, but for a guy like Bobo who has given so much to Georgia throughout his career, it's wonderful to see it being recognized nationally.
