Underwood and the Three-Point Shot

Coach Brad Underwood's Illinois Fighting Illini have the depth and roster construction to play any style of basketball this upcoming season, but the three-pointer has become an increasingly big part of his team's offensive attack.

According to data analyst Andre Weatherman, Underwood's team has cut down its mid-range attempts by two-thirds and is increasingly falling in love with the three-ball.

It's been said that the mid-range shot has become a lost art, and the data backs the reason why: the best teams are taking more three-pointers per game.
