Nov 1, 2026 7:19 PM

Indiana's offense had its share of struggles against Minnesota, but Adedamola Ajani, Charlie Becker and Lee Beebe Jr. led the way according to Pro Football Focus.

When you look at the numbers from Indiana's matchup against Minnesota, it's clear that the Hoosiers had some impressive individual performances despite an inconsistent offensive showing. Curt Cignetti and Co. finished with 419 total yards, including 275 through the air and 144 on the ground. The quarterback situation was particularly interesting, with Josh Hoover struggling before Grant Wilson provided a spark. Wide receiver Charlie Becker was once again outstanding, while Lee Beebe Jr. helped establish the running game. There were some positives, but also plenty of areas that need improvement.

Using a tool like Pro Football Focus allows us to see what happened on a player-by-player basis and gives some insight as to how it really went. It's not gospel, but there are some things that just don't show up in the box score that can tell another part of the story.

Top Three Offensive Performers (25 snap minimum)

1. OL Adedamola Ajani - 77.0

Ajani was Indiana's highest-graded offensive player, earning an impressive 77.0 overall grade across 74 offensive snaps. He was particularly effective in pass protection, posting a 76.0 pass-blocking grade across 44 pass-blocking snaps. Ajani also earned a team-high 74.4 run-blocking grade, making him one of Indiana's most complete offensive linemen against Minnesota. With the Hoosiers generating 419 total yards, his ability to contribute in both phases was important.

2. WR Charlie Becker - 74.7

Becker continued his impressive stretch of performances, earning a 74.7 overall offensive grade and an identical 74.7 receiving grade. He played 72 offensive snaps and finished with eight receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown, averaging 18.6 yards per catch. His longest reception went for 47 yards. Becker accounted for more than half of Indiana's passing yards and was easily the Hoosiers' most productive receiving weapon. His ability to consistently create explosive plays continues to be a major asset for Indiana's offense.

3. RB Lee Beebe Jr. - 71.8

Beebe rounded out Indiana's top three with a 71.8 overall offensive grade across 40 snaps. He led the Hoosiers in rushing with 84 yards on 15 carries, averaging 5.6 yards per attempt. Beebe earned a 72.7 rushing grade and was also effective in pass protection, posting a 77.7 pass-blocking grade. His production was especially important considering Indiana's inconsistency at quarterback. Beebe provided a reliable rushing option and helped the Hoosiers average 4.4 yards per carry as a team.

Interesting Notes

The quarterback comparison was particularly interesting. Hoover finished with a disappointing 57.6 overall offensive grade and a 56.1 passing grade. He completed just 8-of-19 passes for 119 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Wilson, meanwhile, earned a 65.8 overall grade and a 66.2 passing grade, completing 9-of-17 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown.

Indiana's offensive line was strong in pass protection. Carter Smith led the way with an 80.8 pass-blocking grade, followed by Ajani (76.0) and Drew Evans (72.3). However, the unit wasn't nearly as consistent in the running game.

Trevor Gibbs struggled significantly, earning a team-low 57.2 overall offensive grade among non-quarterbacks with substantial playing time. His 52.4 receiving grade was also one of the lowest on the team.
