Indiana begins Big Ten Tournament play in the quarterfinals against Maryland on Friday at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. Here's how to watch, with game time and TV information, the latest on the point spread, the coaching matchup, series history, stats, rankings and more.

CHICAGO, Ill. – It's tournament time for coach Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers, who begin postseason play in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. 

Indiana secured the all-important double-bye to stay rested before a Friday night game against Maryland, a team that defeated Indiana in their lone matchup.

In last season's Big Ten Tournament, the Hoosiers won two crucial games to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament, and they're hoping to rekindle that same kind of momentum in Chicago.

"You've got to be ready to play," Trayce Jackson-Davis said. "You've got to be on top of everything when it comes to scouting, getting your body right, because it's a quick turnaround. I know [Jalen Hood-Schifino] is going to be ready, he's a great player. So we've just got to take it one game at a time."

  • Associated Press poll: Indiana dropped four spots to No. 19 in this week's poll. The Hoosiers have been ranked in 15 of the 18 polls this season, peaking at No. 10. Maryland dropped out of the top 25 this week after losses at Penn State and at Ohio State to end the regular season. The Terrapins have been ranked five weeks this season, peaking at No. 13 on Dec. 5. 
  • KenPom rankings: Indiana is No. 31 overall in the KenPom rankings as of Friday morning. The Hoosiers are No. 48 in adjusted defensive efficiency and No. 29 in adjusted offensive efficiency. Maryland is ranked No. 18 overall, No. 31 in adjusted defensive efficiency and No. 31 in adjusted offensive efficiency.
  • Last three games: Indiana defeated Michigan 75-73 on Sunday, lost 90-68 to Iowa on Feb. 28 and won 79-71 at No. 5 Purdue on Feb. 25. Maryland defeated Minnesota 70-54 on Thursday, lost 65-64 at Penn State on Sunday and lost 73-62 at Ohio State on March 1.
  • Home, road and neutral trends: Indiana is 15-2 at home, 5-7 in true road games and 1-1 at neutral sites. Maryland is 16-1 at home, 2-9 in true road games and 3-1 at neutral sites.
  • Season projections: Indiana is tied for the 19th-best odds to reach the Final Four at plus-1000 and 14th to win the national championship at plus-4000, according to the FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Last season's records: Indiana went 21-14 overall, 9-11 in Big Ten play, 14-4 at home, 3-8 on the road and 4-2 at neutral sites in 2021-22. The Hoosiers finished ninth in the Big Ten, defeated Wyoming in the NCAA Tournament First Four and lost to Saint Mary's in the Round of 64. Maryland went 15-17 overall, 7-13 in Big Ten play, 10-8 at home, 3-7 on the road and 2-2 at neutral sites in 2021-22. The Terrapins finished 10th in the Big Ten and they lost their first game in the Big Ten Tournament, 76-72 against Michigan State.
  • Series history: Indiana leads the all-time series, 11-9. Maryland leads the series 7-6 since joining the Big Ten before the 2014-15 season. Maryland defeated Indiana 64-52 in the 2002 National Championship behind 18 points from Juan Dixon and a double-double from Lonny Baxter. Kyle Hornsby led the Mike Davis-coached Hoosiers with 14 points, but Indiana shot 34.5 percent overall.
  • Last meeting: Maryland defeated Indiana 66-55 on Jan. 31 at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md. Jahmir Young led Maryland with 20 points on 6-for-15 shooting in this game, followed by Donta Scott with 19 points on 6-for-18 shooting. Maryland applied a steady full-court press against Indiana, which slowed the Hoosiers down and kept their offense out of sync. It was an especially rough night for Jalen Hood-Schifino, who shot 1-for-14 overall with four turnovers. Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, but Indiana was held to its second-lowest scoring output of the season.
