How to Watch Indiana Basketball Against Maryland on Tuesday

Indiana basketball (15-6, 6-4) battles the Maryland Terrapins (14-7, 5-5) on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Md. Here's how to watch, with game time and TV information, three leading storylines, the latest on the point spread, the coaching matchup, series history and more.

Indiana has been one of the hottest teams in the country since mid-January, riding a five-game win streak with four victories by 13-plus points. Veteran big man Trayce Jackson-Davis and freshman point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino form a versatile duo, garnering Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Week awards on Monday, respectively.

Indiana returned to AP top-25 poll after a three-week hiatus, and they have a significant challenge on the docket. Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers travel to Maryland, who owns an 11-1 home record and is undefeated at the Xfinity Center in Big Ten play.

  • Point spread: Maryland is a 3-point favorite against Indiana, and the over/under is set at 140 points, according to the SI Sportsbook.
  • Associated Press poll: Indiana returned to the AP Top-25 poll on Monday, coming in at No. 21. The Hoosiers have been ranked in 10 of 13 polls this season. Maryland remained unranked for the seventh consecutive week. The Terrapins have been ranked in four of 13 polls, peaking at No. 13 on Dec. 5.
  • KenPom rankings: Indiana is No. 19 overall in the KenPom rankings as of Monday night. The Hoosiers are No. 43 in adjusted defensive efficiency and No. 16 in adjusted offensive efficiency. Maryland is ranked No. 32 overall, No. 39 in adjusted defensive efficiency and No. 48 in adjusted offensive efficiency.
  • Season projections: As of Monday night, Indiana has the second-best odds to win Big Ten regular season title at plus-2000, behind Purdue at minus-2000. Indiana is plus-850 to reach the Final Four and plus-3500 to win the National Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Last three games: Indiana defeated Ohio State 86-70 on Saturday, won 61-57 at Minnesota on Wednesday and beat Michigan State 82-69 on Jan 22. Maryland beat Nebraska 82-63 on Saturday, beat Wisconsin 73-55 on Wednesday and lost 58-55 at Purdue on Jan. 22.
  • Home and road trends: Indiana is 11-1 at home and 3-4 in true road games. Maryland is 11-1 at home and 1-5 in true road games. 
  • Last season's records: Indiana went 21-14 overall, 9-11 in Big Ten play, 14-4 at home, 3-8 on the road and 4-2 at neutral sites in 2021-22. The Hoosiers finished ninth in the Big Ten, defeated Wyoming in the NCAA Tournament First Four and lost to Saint Mary's in the Round of 64. Maryland went 15-17 overall, 7-13 in Big Ten play, 10-8 at home, 3-7 on the road and 2-2 at neutral sites in 2021-22. The Terrapins finished 10th in the Big Ten and they lost their first game in the Big Ten Tournament, 76-72 against Michigan State.
  • Series history: Indiana leads the all-time series 11-8. The Hoosiers have won three consecutive games, and the series is tied 6-6 since Maryland joined the Big Ten before the 2014-15 season. Maryland defeated Indiana 64-52 in the 2002 National Championship behind 18 points from Juan Dixon and a double-double from Lonny Baxter. Kyle Hornsby led the Mike Davis-coached Hoosiers with 14 points, but Indiana shot 34.5 percent overall.
  • Last meeting: Indiana defeated Maryland 74-64 on Feb. 24, 2022 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. Xavier Johnson led the Hoosiers with 24 points and six rebounds while shooting 7-for-7 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free throw line. Race Thompson added 19 points and nine rebounds, and the Hoosiers shot 59.6 overall. Fatts Russell led Maryland with 23, Hakim Hart scored 14 and Donta Scott added 10 points.
