INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana and Louisville will make a short trip up north to Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, for Saturday's Noon ET kickoff.
The Hoosiers are coming off a dominant 41-7 win over Indiana State, and the Cardinals manhandled Murray State in a 56-0 victory.
Louisville coach Jeff Brohm is at a new school, but he's facing a familiar opponent in coach Tom Allen and the Hoosiers. Brohm went 4-1 against Indiana as Purdue's coach, and tallying another win would create serious momentum for the currently undefeated Cardinals.
For the underdog Hoosiers, bowl eligibility chances would get a major boost with a win on Saturday. Allen named redshirt freshman Tayven Jackson the starting quarterback, following an 18-for-21 passing performance last week.
"It was a dream come true," Jackson said. "It's everything you want to hear from a coach. Coming here, it's been a struggle. It's been hard going through a quarterback battle, but that's life. So it was a relief."
