BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — After a convincing 56-9 victory over Kennesaw State on Saturday at Merchants Bank Field inside Memorial Stadium, Indiana football has climbed in both the Associated Press and Coaches Poll.

The Hoosiers are No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, a two-spot improvement from the week before, and No. 22 in the AP Poll, up one place. Indiana jumped Michigan, which lost 24-13 to Oklahoma, and Arizona State, which fell 24-20 at Mississippi State, in both polls.

In the AP Poll, Texas Tech moved above the Hoosiers after a 62-14 win over Kent State. Indiana is above Texas Tech, Utah and South Florida in the USA Today Coaches Poll, but behind all three in the AP Poll.

The Hoosiers are currently slated to face three top 10 teams this season: No. 2 Penn State, No. 4/5 Oregon and No. 9 Illinois. The Big Ten has two other teams ranked in No. 1 Ohio State and No. 22/23 Michigan.
