BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana senior forward Sam Alexis got some national recognition on Tuesday when he was selected to play in the NABC-Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game.
Alexis played one season at Indiana, transferring from Florida last spring. He'll play with other college seniors on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The city is the host for this weekend's Final Four.
The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network, and admission to the game and all Reese’s Final Four Friday events at the stadium are free.
Alexis, a 6-foot-9 post player from Apopka, Fla., played in all 32 games for the Hoosiers, and he started the last 23 games, replacing Reed Bailey with the starting group.
He averaged 8.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks in 21.3 minutes per game. Alexis established the program record with a shooting percentage of 68.7 percent, going 114 of 166 from the floor. He also produced a career-best mark of 72.5 percent at the free throw line, making 50 of 69 shots from the charity stripe.
Alexis led the Hoosiers — who finished 18-14 in Darian's DeVries first year as head coach — with 50 dunks and was their most productive post player. He had 13 games with 10-plus points, eight games with at least eight rebounds, 18 games with multiple offensive rebounds, and eight games with multiple blocked shots.
Alexis started his career at Chattanooga, playing two seasons there. He played at Florida last year, and was a role player off the bench. The Gators won the national championship in 2025. Alexis averaged 5.0 points as a freshman, 10.4 as a sophomore and 4.7 as a junior.
He finished his college career with 908 points and 657 rebounds in 121 career games. He had 142 blocks, 133 assists and 36 steals.
