BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Vaughn Karvala, a 6-foot-6 forward and top 50 recruit, has become Indiana's second commitment for the 2026–27 season.
Karvala, originally from Oregon High School in Wisconsin but now attending Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, Ariz., committed Saturday to Indiana. He chose the Hoosiers over offers from Alabama, Marquette, Syracuse, Villanova, Washington and Wisconsin.
When deciding between Cal, Xavier and Indiana, Karvala said he placed his trust in head coach Darian DeVries.
As a junior at Oregon High School, Karvala averaged 26.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists, earning a spot as the No. 30 player nationally in the ESPN100 rankings. He will play his senior season at Bella Vista Prep.
His commitment follows Indiana’s 76–74 exhibition win over Baylor. Indiana opens the regular season Wednesday at home against Alabama A&M.
Karvala joins Prince-Alexander Moody in Indiana’s 2026 recruiting class.
