Beyond Iowa State’s road test against No. 25 Arizona, keep an eye on Big 12 contenders and major matchups shaping the conference title races.

Iowa State football is back for Week 8! After a week off, the Cyclones are heading to Tucson to take on No. 25 Arizona on Saturday evening (6:30 p.m. CT, ESPN2).

After a bye week, the Cyclones look to regroup and get their season back on track after a 24-10 loss to BYU. The Wildcats enter the matchup at 5-1 and are ranked No. 25 nationally. With the season entering its second half, every conference game matters. We'll have to tune in to see if the Cyclones can turn their extra week of preparation into a much-needed road win.

Here are a few games we think you should keep an eye on in Week 8:

Saturday

No. 6 Indiana Hoosiers (6-1) at Michigan Wolverines (4-2)

Time: 11 a.m. CDT

Indiana heads to Ann Arbor for a midday Saturday Big Ten showdown against Michigan. The Hoosiers will look to bounce back after a tough matchup with No. 3 Ohio State and a narrow win over Nebraska. Meanwhile, Michigan hopes to gain momentum after a slow start to the season. The Wolverines hold a commanding 62-11 advantage in the all-time series, but Indiana will look to make a statement on the road as both teams continue their push in the Big Ten race.

No. 8 Texas Tech Raiders (6-0) at Cincinnati Bearcats (4-2)

Location: Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, OH

Time: 11 a.m. CDT

TV: FOX

Big 12 football heads to Cincinnati as undefeated Texas Tech takes on the Bearcats. The No. 8 Red Raiders enter Week 8 undefeated, while the Bearcats have a chance to take the lead and work toward the conference championship. Iowa State fans should keep an eye on this one as the Big 12 Race continues to develop.

No. 15 Iowa Hawkeyes (5-1) at Minnesota Golden Gophers (4-2)

Location: Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN

Time: 2:30 p.m. CDT

TV: FOX

The Battle of Floyd of Rosedale returns Saturday afternoon as Iowa travels to Minneapolis to take on Minnesota. The Hawkeyes are also coming off a bye week after a strong start to the season and will look to keep their momentum going. Iowa has won 10 of the last 11 meetings in the rivalry, but the Golden Gophers will look to reclaim it on their home field. With bragging rights and a rivalry trophy on the line, this is a Big Ten matchup to watch.

No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels (5-1) at No. 19 Texas Longhorns (4-2)

Location: Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX

Time: 6:30 p.m. CDT

TV: ABC

Texas is suddenly in serious danger of missing the College Football Playoff after consecutive losses to Oklahoma and Florida. A loss to Ole Miss would all but end those hopes and put more embarrassing headlines on the Longhorns. The defense is capable of stopping Trinidad Chambliss and the high-powered Ole Miss offense, but Arch Manning is going to need to step up to win this game. Should be a compelling matchup in Austin.
