Here are some of our thoughts on the spreads of some of the most intriguing games of Week 8.

Schultz's pre-Arizona thoughts. More Videos

It feels like it's been forever since Iowa State has taken the field, but that ends in just two days.

It's going to be interesting to see what kind of adjustments Jimmy Rodgers and Co. can make after the bye week, and it's safe to say the Cyclones will need just about everything to go their way against a talented and explosive Arizona team in Tucson.

We've provided you with plenty of pregame content throughout the week, and if you've paid any attention to our sister site HawkeyeRoundtable.com, you know that Thursday is the the lead-up to prediction Friday.

One of our fantastic writers will have you covered with the Iowa State-Arizona game prediction on Friday, but in the meantime, we're talking about the books.

Here are my thoughts on the betting lines of some of the top games of Week 8.

Iowa State @ No. 25 Arizona

Line: Arizona -10.5

Total: 51.5

We'll have more analysis when our betting prediction releases on Friday, but this is a pretty fair line here. Arizona's offense is so dynamic with quarterback Noah Fifita at the helm, and it's going to be a tough challenge for Iowa State's banged-up secondary. The total may be a little bullish considering the Cyclones' struggles on offense, but the Wildcats are definitely going to put up some points.

Friday

UMass @ UConn

Line: UConn -14.5 | O/U: 50.5

Only true degenerate gamblers would bet on this game, but that could be some of you. UMass was one of the best stories in the sport after it won its first four games of the year, but the Minutemen are now riding a three-game losing streak. UConn is 3-3 under new head coach Jason Candle, but this still has the potential to be a fun Friday night clash.

Saturday

No. 8 Texas Tech @ Cincinnati

Line: Texas Tech -10.5 | O/U: 56.5

Texas Tech barely survived a lot of its games at the beginning of the year - including a scare at hapless Colorado a few weeks ago - but it seems like the Red Raiders are finally starting to play good football again. Tech should have little trouble besting a below-average Cincinnati team, but it's one of those games that could have a trap game feel with Arizona coming to Lubbock next weekend.

No. 18 LSU @ Auburn

Line: LSU -7 | O/U: 50.5

Iowa State fans should pay attention to this game because Auburn's head coach is Alex Golesh, who was the Cyclones' former tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator for Matt Campbell's first four seasons in Ames. This could be a tough spot for Auburn, though. LSU is desperate.

No. 2 BYU @ UCF

Line: BYU -6.5 | O/U: 43.5

BYU is flying high after a dramatic win over Notre Dame last weekend, but don't overlook Scott Frost and Central Florida. This is a team that led Houston by 17 points a few weeks ago and more than capable of shocking the Cougars at the Bounce House. Don't be surprised if the Knights can keep this game within a field goal.

No. 14 Houston @ No. 10 Utah

Line: Utah -6.5 | O/U: 56.5

Speaking of Houston, it's on the road at Utah for one of the most important Big 12 games of the year. Lots of people are going to side with the Utes here, but remember who is on the sideline for the Cougars, folks. Willie Fritz is one of the best coaches in the sport and you better believe he'll have his team ready to spoil Utah's undefeated season.
