Select members of Iowa football's wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line and tight end position groups met with the media on Thursday to discuss spring practice. Here are some quotes that stood out.

Spring football is in full swing.

The Iowa football team will be hosting weekly media sessions with select players throughout the month of April. One of those sessions was on Thursday afternoon, as select players from wide receivers, offensive and defensive lineman, and tight end position groups spoke about the beginning of their spring campaigns.

HawkeyeRoundtable will have more content coming in the next few days, but while you wait for those stories to drop, take a look at some of the best quotes from Thursday's media session:

On watching Iowa men's basketball play in the NCAA tournament:

LT TREVOR LAUCK: Being from Indiana, you kind of have to be a basketball guy, or you don't really fit in. My family is a big basketball family. I grew up playing it since I can remember however young I was. I was watching Selection Sunday at home in Indy, and I saw they were going to play in Tampa, and I was already had plans to be down there with my family, so I was real excited for that. Reached out to our ticket guy, Quinn, and he got me right. I went down there with my dad and my little brother.

How important is that going into a season where you're probably going to play?

DL IOSE EPENESA: I mean, it definitely helps. I just remember back to how they [his teammates] moved every day and I just try to be like them.

What's the biggest difference in this receiver room from last year?

WR DAYTON HOWARD: I feel like we've always had play-making ability. ....We're all just kind of making explosive plays, so it feels like we haven't really skipped a beat. So it's pretty good.

So we've seen some crazy catches on social media by Tony Diaz. Is that kind of a daily thing or what do you see?

WR REECE VANDER ZEE: Yeah, the dude's impressive. Seeing great things from him. He goes up, he gets the ball wherever it's at. He's fast, he makes plays. He understands football. So, yeah nothing, but great things coming out of him. Just continue to compete would be a big thing too.

How are you feeling about the quarterbacks?

VANDER ZEE: They both bring something different to the table. So yeah, it's been good to work with both of them and get get used to everything that they that they do.

How are they [the quarterbacks] different?

VANDER ZEE: Jeremy just can make more like plays outside the pocket and stuff like that, and Hank's more like a pinpoint guy - be accurate and make plays that make his plays that way.
