Hall is the sixth Hawkeye taken off the board.
Cooper DeJean and Riley Moss are making a name for themselves in the NFL, and now one former teammate gets to join them in pro football.
Defensive back TJ Hall was selected with the 219th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2026 Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He's the sixth Hawkeye to be drafted.
The Fresno, California native didn't enter Iowa's starting lineup until his junior season in 2024, where he started seven games at defensive back. Injuries held him out of two games in 2025, but Hall was a mainstay in the Hawkeyes' secondary in each game he started.
Hall's 10 pass break-ups were the most by any Iowa player in 2025, and he also recorded one interception and 47 tackles. Big Ten coaches and media named Hall a Third-Team All-Big Ten selection for his performance, and he also earned the Hawkeyes' Hustle and Hayden Fry Awards (given to the best leader on the defense).
