Both clubs will get to play in the comfort of their own homes, with softball hosting Indiana and baseball welcoming Maryland.

After disappointing weekend outings, the Iowa baseball and softball teams aim to get back off the mat this weekend.

Both will have the luxury of playing in front of their home fans in Iowa City, with the baseball team hosting Maryland and the softball club welcoming Indiana.

Stacy May-Johnson's softball team currently sits at 22-20 overall and 5-10 in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes have recorded just one win in their last 11 games, which includes a dismal performance last weekend where they lost three of four at the Christine Grant Classic in Iowa City.

Rick Heller's baseball team is also undergoing a rough patch. Though Iowa bounced back with an easy 20-1 win over Bradley on Tuesday, its weekend series against USC was the opposite. The Hawkeyes were swept by the Trojans, with two of the defeats being by lopsided margins. Iowa now sits at 19-15 overall and 5-10 in Big Ten play.

There's no question that both programs need a good weekend to increase their chances at qualifying for the Big Ten tournament.
