We began the 100-day countdown on May 28, and we're already over a week in. Each article will feature a piece featuring each member of the 2026 Hawkeyes based on their jersey number, and today is your lucky day.
The Hawkeyes issued No. 92 not once, but twice this season. So, in honor of Friday marking 92 days until kickoff, get to know the men wearing No. 92 in 2026 - kicker Caden Buhr and defensive lineman Brice Stevenson.
Brice Stevenson
Hometown: Tampa, Florida
High School: Berkeley Preparatory School
Year: Senior
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 295 pounds
Other notable players to wear No. 92: The most notable name to wear No. 92 for the Hawkeyes in recent years is former defensive lineman John Waggoner. The Des Moines native was a starting defensive lineman on Iowa's ferocious and sometimes game-saving defense in 2022, recording 34 tackles.
Caden Buhr
Hometown: Bettendorf, Iowa
High School: Bettendorf High School
Year: Redshirt Freshman
Height: 5-foot-10
Weight: 200 pounds
Other notable players to wear No. 92: He wasn't a popular player, but the one notable play he made during his Iowa career has to be former kicker Marshall Meeder. The Central Michigan transfer attempted only one kick in Iowa City, but it was a game-winning 38-yard try to beat Nebraska in 2023.
Stevenson's Iowa career so far
Stevenson hasn't played a snap for the Hawkeyes yet. The Tampa native didn't have much interest from major programs out of high school, so he went the FCS route and landed at Holy Cross. He spent three seasons there and worked his way to becoming a cornerstone of the Crusaders' defensive line.
Holy Cross went 3-9 during Stevenson's last season in 2025, but Stevenson played well, recording 37 tackles. Stevenson was a consistent performer, recording five or more tackles four times.
That success led him to Iowa, where he was ranked as a three-star transfer portal recruit by 247Sports. Stevenson gives the Hawkeyes some much-needed experience on a defensive line that lost many key pieces.
Buhr's Iowa career so far
Buhr redshirted in 2025 after seeing action in just one game - Week 3 against UMass. The Bettendorf native will compete with North Dakota State transfer Eli Ozick for the starting kicker spot, which was vacated by the graduating Drew Stevens.
