Kansas State and Texas A&M have been linked over the past few weeks, mainly because former Aggies offensive coordinator Collin Klein is returning to Manhattan, KS.

Now, the two are intertwined for different reasons. College Station, TX, has been named one of the potential destinations for former Wildcats star Jayce Brown after Aggies' No. 1 wideout KC Concepcion declared for the NFL Draft. Texas A&M was eliminated from the postseason after a three-point performance against Miami.

“Texas A&M is a school of note at this point for Jayce Brown,” On3 reporter Pete Nakos wrote. “The Aggies are set to lose KC Concepcion to the NFL Draft.”

Brown has been one of the biggest downfield weapons in the Big 12 over the past few years, compiling 115 receptions for 1,972 yards and 13 touchdowns during his three seasons at Kansas State. He averaged 17.4 yards per catch in 2025, the third-highest in the conference. Brown continued blazing last season as the Wildcats' top weapon, but exited with an injury before the Utah loss. A huge loss for the team, as there were many games where he and quarterback Avery Johnson were the primary sources of offense.

He announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 16.

"To my Kansas State family, I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have called Kansas State University my home. Wildcat Nation, I can't thank you enough for your support over the past three seasons. I will never forget my time in Manhattan, and playing for all of you. To my family, y'all have been with me from the beginning. Thank you for always being by my side, and I'm so thankful to have you on this journey with me," Brown said in his statement via social media.

Brown's speed and big-yardage plays could benefit an Aggies team that boasted two of the five top pass-catchers in the conference. Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed had stepped up in his sophomore season with 3,169 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, while rushing for 493 yards and six touchdowns. However, he struggled in the final two games, throwing zero touchdowns while turning the ball over five times.

Getting a weapon like Brown will hopefully help sustain the big-play production, and even potentially elevate it. He and sophomore receiver Mario Craver would be a scary duo on the perimeter. Ashton Bethel-Roman would round out the receiving trio as another home-run hitter, as he averaged 21 yards per catch last season with five touchdown receptions.
