VITALS: Kansas State is coming off another blowout conference loss, this time to the JT Toppin-less Texas Tech Red Raiders. Nate Johnson has at least come alive, but Saturday was a disappointing display from PJ Haggerty. Haggerty's 17-point performance was one of his worst offensive showings all season, moving the Wildcats to 1-6 when he scores less than 20 points.
But honestly, Kansas State doesn't have that many more wins when he drops above that, either, illustrating the team's frustration in finding offensive rhythm in the recent stretch. Dorin Buca suffered an ankle injury midway through the first half against Texas Tech, something for fans to keep their eyes on as the day develops.

QUOTABLE: "We're coaching them just like we would coach them if Coach Tang were here," Wildcats coach Matthew Driscoll said in his Texas Tech postgame interview. "To their credit, they haven't missed a beat in that sense. They love coach [Tang], that's not what I'm saying. They've been really responsive to me, because I'm different. I got a lot of odd things about me, but the one thing I've always been is that I've had a disciplined commitment to consistency. I am who I am. I'm gonna do what I do, and I'm gonna be who I am. And so, to these guys' credit, they've embraced [the change]."
