Kansas State football attempts to land another 2028 class addition by offering another offensive lineman.

Even though Kansas State football still hasn't landed a 2028 class recruit, the program is still handing out offers to make it happen.

The latest was offensive tackle Asher Megonnell, who currently attends Ankeny Centennial High School in Ankeny, IA. He also received an offer from Big 12 rival Iowa State. Megonnell is currently unranked.

"After a great conversation with Coach [Mike] Schmidt and Coach Jacobs, I am blessed to receive my second Division 1 offer from Kansas State University," Megonnell tweeted on Friday.

It'll be a while before we have to evaluate that position for this class, but the offensive line is one of the more essential positions for Kansas State. The program has boasted some solid units upfront but took a step back in 2025. The line will be important to establish the run game, which has been a staple of the Wildcats' game plan historically.

Here are a few other offerrees within the class:

AJ Criss, Tight End

AJ Criss, who currently attends Krum High School in Krum, TX, is a 6-foot-7, 205-pound tight end. Last season, he had 34 receptions for 574 yards and eight touchdowns. Criss also received offers from Florida State and Texas Tech. He's currently unranked but will likely be a three-star prospect.

Ronald Crawford, Defensive Lineman

Ronald Crawford currently attends De La Salle High School in New Orleans, LA. He's been offered by 15 other DI schools, including Auburn, Baylor, and Houston. Crawford is one of the highest-ranked defensive linemen in his class in the state of Louisiana.

Antonio Dural, Cornerback

Two-way athlete Antonio Dural currently attends Klein Oak High School in Spring, TX. He plays cornerback and wide receiver and received an offer from Wildcats cornerbacks coach Marcel Yates. Last season, Dural had 15 total tackles and five pass deflections, along with 30 offensive touches for 468 total yards and three touchdowns. Among the other notable schools offering him are SMU, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Steven McClendon, Edge Rusher

Steven McClendon is a four-star edge rusher from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, GA. Last season, he had 51 total tackles, four sacks, and eight tackles for loss. The 2027 class features seven defensive linemen, including two edge rushers. Their new recruiting class is among the best they've had in years, with coach Collin Klein and his crew assembling a top-tier unit in the next line of Kansas State football.
