Former Kansas State center Sam Hecht is picking up some serious NFL Draft hype.

Another playoff contender is now emerging as a potential suitor for him. The Baltimore Ravens site listed some potential offensive linemen to look out for, with Hecht among the players. Names like Spencer Fano (Utah) and Logan Jones (Iowa) were included in the discussions as well.

The site wrote:

"Hecht's athleticism and size (6-foot-4, 303 pounds) don't stand out, but he's very technically sound and consistent. He gave up zero sacks and just two quarterback hits over 25 college starts, while committing very few penalties."

The former Wildcats offensive lineman's resume speaks for itself. Two All-Big 12 selections, a near-conference Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2026. In all his starts at Kansas State, Hecht never gave up a sack or quarterback pressure. One of the best linemen in the Big 12 over his career, he's gone from a Day 3 selection to possibly being picked as early as the second round.

Here's the NFL's draft profile on Hecht:

"Hecht lacks ideal mass and length, but it will be hard to find a center in this year’s draft with better technique. He plays with well-placed inside hands that help maximize his leverage and core strength. All schemes are available to him, but his athleticism will shine when activated in space. He stays sticky to blocks once he connects, but his lack of length will put him on the wrong side of the battle from time to time in both the run and pass phases. Hecht needs to add more muscle mass to his frame, but he has the consistency and tape of a future starter."

Baltimore is looking for a center after the departure of three-time Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum. Offensive line is a must for the Ravens to protect two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson, like Wildcats quarterback Avery Johnson, likes to utilize his legs a lot. But over time, he's developed his long-range passing, rising to the upper echelon of signal-callers across the league. Jackson needs protection in the pocket, one of the Ravens' more glaring issues over the past few seasons.

As Baltimore tries to retain its division supremacy, it will need a center like Hecht to bring the men up front together.
