As Kansas State regroups under new head coach Collin Klein, it has to do so now without arguably its biggest offensive weapon.

Star receiver Jayce Brown is entering the transfer portal, the Wildcats' No. 1 receiver over the past two seasons. Brown compiled 115 receptions for 1,972 yards and 13 touchdowns over his Kansas State tenure, while rushing for 161 yards and one touchdown. He averaged just over 17 yards per catch, the second-highest in the conference. He continued blazing in 2025 as the Wildcats' top weapon, but exited a few games before the season officially ended.

"To my Kansas State family, I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have called Kansas State University my home. Wildcat Nation, I can't thank you enough for your support over the past three seasons. I will never forget my time in Manhattan, and playing for all of you. To my family, y'all have been with me from the beginning. Thank you for always being by my side, and I'm so thankful to have you on this journey with me," Brown said in his statement via social media.

Rumors swirled last year about Brown leaving the program, but they proved false. This time around, though, he is departing from Manhattan, KS.

The star receiver will likely be flooded with offers as one of the most dynamic pass-catchers in the Big 12. His speed and downfield presence will be an asset to any college football program, especially a contender looking for another dynamic weapon.

Hell, Brown was the Wildcats' primary source of offense at times, so his loss is monumental for the team. Wildcats quarterback Avery Johnson relied on him in downfield situations or moving the sticks.

"To my teammates, my relationship with y'all will last a lifetime and go way beyond the football field," Brown continued in his Instagram statement. "Some of the highlights of my life have been with all of you, and I'll cherish the memories forever. To my coaches, the athletic training staff, and every member of the Kansas State community, thank you for the hard work and countless hours you have put into me and my teammates over the last three years. After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal."

As players continue entering the portal, fans may have to hold their breath on what big name departs from the program next.

Don't be surprised if someone like Johnson or Desmond Purnell shows up on this list next.
