Major Sports Outlet Has Bold Prediction For Kansas State's Collin Klein cover image

Kansas State hired program legend Collin Klein two months ago to replace the outgoing veteran Chris Klieman.

And apparently, it's for the time being, too. The Athletic wrote an article predicting every Power Four football team's coach in 2030, lauding Klein as the one holding the role even four years later.

The article wrote:

"The former Wildcats star quarterback takes over a program that needs a boost, not a massive rebuild. Klein is more likely to raise his profile and become a candidate for a bigger post than to fail at his alma mater in four years."

The Wildcats legend has been held in high regard for his program success, contributing to two of Kansas State's three conference championships (2012, 2022). Klein has been working with quarterback Avery Johnson to elevate him to new heights in his final season with the team.

"We’re gonna be in attack mode right from the beginning," Klein said in an interview with KCSN. "I don’t want him to overthink or hesitate. Whether it’s in the pass or run game, we’re gonna be in attack mode right from the jump. I want him to play fast. We’re gonna build a package around him and structure it in a way where he can be very confident in what he’s being asked to do. I just want him to cut it loose and play fast and play confident."

He wants to re-establish this championship standard as the man in charge, as the team took a huge setback last season with a rollercoaster year.

"We’re gonna start fast and finish faster," Klein said. "In today’s world of college football, you have one year to develop this team. We're gonna maximize every opportunity to the fullest, and we’re going to attack it right from the jump. The only way that you get better at playing football is by playing football. We’re gonna utilize every inch of capacity."

Hopefully, this precedent is set for years to come with Klein at the helm.
