Here's the latest on Kansas Jayhawks players Cam Pickett and Bam Crouch for Saturday's game against the Missouri Tigers

The Kansas Jayhawks face the possibility of playing without two of their top players in Saturday's game against the Missouri Tigers.

Receiver Cam Pickett and linebacker Bam Crouch are both listed as questionable. Here's the latest update KU coach Lance Leipold offered Monday morning.

"Not yet," Leipold said when he was asked if he had a timetable for their recovery. "Bam did not practice today. Cam was out there, still has a ways to go. So, I really don't have the status yet, but trying to be hopeful on both."

Pickett did not play in the season opener against Long Island University while Crouch was injured in that game. This is what Leipold had to say initially about Crouch after the game.

"Don't know yet exactly. You could see it was up in the shoulder area right now. They did some things. They'll do further testing tomorrow to see exactly where that's at. Hopefully, we'll have a little bit more of an idea Monday. I don't know if it'll be done quite that soon. But he was in good spirits in the second half, and obviously disappointed. But that was probably the only one that really missed anything from what I got to really report."

JAYHAWKS RECEIVER SHINES IN DEBUT

Nik McMillan did not need long to make his presence felt at Kansas.

In his first game wearing a Jayhawk uniform, the Buffalo transfer delivered one of the most impressive individual performances of the Lance Leipold era, earning a 96.2 overall grade, the highest single-game grade recorded by any Kansas player since Leipold took over as head coach.

McMillan was a major reason Kansas cruised past Long Island University 51-6 on Friday night at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The wide receiver finished the night with six receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown, immediately establishing himself as one of the most dangerous weapons in Kansas' offense.
