Kansas is quickly becoming one of the busiest programs in the transfer portal this offseason, with six Jayhawks already entering and the roster facing a major reset heading into 2026-27. With Bill Self returning, the next few weeks will be critical as the staff looks to rebuild.
Here’s a clean look at who’s in the portal:
Kansas Forward Samis Calderon Plans To Enter The NCAA Transfer Portal
Another Jayhawk has decided to leave Lawrence. Freshman forward Samis Calderon plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. DraftExpress’ Jonathan Givony first reported the news on Thursday morning.
The former Overtime Elite player averaged 0.4 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in just 16 games this season. As a young freshman, he saw limited time on the court.
Calderon is the sixth former Kansas player to hit the Transfer Portal. He joins center Flory Bidunga, guard Elmarko Jackson, center Paul Mbiya, guard Jamari McDowell, and forward Bryson Tiller. Kohl Rosario and Corbin Allen are the lone Jayhawks returning from last season.
Jamari McDowell (G)
McDowell became the latest addition to the portal after serving as a key bench piece this season. The redshirt sophomore brought energy, defense, and occasional scoring, but never carved out a consistent role in the rotation.
Elmarko Jackson (G)
A former five-star recruit, Jackson entered the portal seeking a bigger opportunity. Known as one of Kansas’ top perimeter defenders, he never fully developed offensively during his time in Lawrence.
Paul Mbiya (C)
Mbiya flashed potential, especially during the NCAA Tournament, but saw limited minutes as a freshman. The big man will now look for a larger role elsewhere.
Bryson Tiller (F)
Tiller’s departure was a significant one after averaging 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds. The former Overtime Elite prospect showed real upside, making him one of the tougher losses to swallow.
Apr. 2 — Flory Bidunga (F/C)
The biggest name on the list. Bidunga, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, is testing the NBA Draft while entering the portal. His departure leaves a massive hole in the frontcourt and signals a major shift for the roster.
Kansas currently sits with just one returning player, putting heavy pressure on Self and his staff to attack the portal aggressively. Expect this list to shape the direction of KU’s offseason as roster turnover hits full force in Lawrence.

UNC Asheville Guard Kameron Taylor to Visit Kansas This Weekend
Kansas is set to host another intriguing backcourt option in the portal, as Kameron Taylor plans a visit to the Kansas Jayhawks this weekend, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports.
The UNC Asheville Bulldogs guard is coming off a strong sophomore season, averaging 18.9 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting 45.3% from the field. Taylor brings clear scoring ability and athleticism, thriving when attacking the rim and generating free-throw opportunities.
While his perimeter shooting remains a concern, 28.1% from three on 4.3 attempts per game, his downhill playstyle and ability to create offense could fill an immediate need for Kansas in the backcourt.
If the Jayhawks are willing to bet on development from deep, Taylor offers high-upside scoring and explosiveness that fits well in Bill Self’s system.
