
Kansas defensive back DJ Graham II is officially turning the page to the next chapter of his football career. The senior announced he is declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft, closing out a college path that included stops at Oklahoma, Utah State and Kansas.
Graham arrived at Kansas ahead of the 2025 season, bringing experience and leadership to the Jayhawks’ secondary. The Fort Worth, Texas native finished the season with 22 solo tackles and three pass breakups. He made his announcement on social media on Friday.
“All glory and praise to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Thank you for the people I’ve met, the new family I’ve made, and the joy the game of football has brought me since I was seven years old,” said DJ Graham II in his social media post.
He credited his support system and longtime mentors for shaping him into the player he is today.
“I want to personally thank my family and friends for always being with me every step of the way. And I want to thank Brian Tuggle, Tony Samuel, Ray Mickens, Don Hicks and Clay Mack for not only coaching and training me my whole life, but for continuing to help me hone my abilities,” said Graham II.
Graham began his college career at Oklahoma, calling it his childhood dream school.
“A huge thanks to my dream school, the University of Oklahoma. Thank you to Lincoln Riley, Bob Stoops, Brent Venables and their staffs for giving me the opportunity to play for and represent the great university I loved ever since I was a child,” said DJ Graham II.
College football fans may remember his viral one handed interception during his time at OU.
He also credited Utah State for helping him reset his career path.
“Thank you so much to Utah State University for giving me an opportunity to play the game I love, helping get me back on my feet, and reviving my spark for football,” said DJ Graham II.
Finally, he closed by thanking Kansas and head coach Lance Leipold.
“And finally, thank you to Coach Lance Leipold and the University of Kansas for instilling discipline and confidence in me. Being a Jayhawk was a great way to finish my college career,” said DJ Graham II.
With his college journey complete, Graham said it was time to chase his lifelong goal.
“The time has come to fulfill my dream and work for what I’ve chased my whole life. I am officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft,” said DJ Graham II.
