
Kansas men's basketball is joining the CBS Sports Classic, giving the December showcase four programs through 2029.
The Jayhawks will compete alongside Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State in the event, which began in 2014 and airs annually on CBS. Kansas makes its debut Dec. 19, 2026, at Madison Square Garden, facing Ohio State, while North Carolina meets Kentucky.
Future matchups are set:
Kansas vs. North Carolina on Dec. 18, 2027
Kansas vs. Kentucky on Dec. 16, 2028
Kansas vs. Ohio State on Dec. 15, 2029
Kansas will also remain part of other high-profile early-season events. The Jayhawks continue in the State Farm Champions Classic through 2028, with games scheduled against Kentucky in Chicago in 2026, Michigan State in 2027 and Duke in 2028.
Kansas is also set to return to the Players Era Men’s Championship in Las Vegas during Thanksgiving week in 2026, which will feature eight Big 12 teams.
