No. 1 Recruit Tyran Stokes Set to Announce Commitment Tonight on Inside the NBA: Kansas or Kentucky

It looks like the wait is finally over. The No. 1 player in the 2026 class, Tyran Stokes, is expected to announce his college decision tonight around 6:30 p.m. ET on Inside the NBA, according to Matt Norlander. Joe Tipton has also confirmed that a decision is coming today.

This one has been building for weeks, but now there is a clear timeline. The race is down to two schools, Kansas and Kentucky.

Kansas men's basketball has been in the mix from the start and continues to push for the top spot in the class. Kentucky men's basketball remains the main competition, while Oregon, once considered a serious contender, is now out.

Stokes is one of the most important recruits in the country, and wherever he lands will have an immediate impact. Now it comes down to a few hours.

Kansas Jayhawks Baseball Stays Red Hot, Sweeps Kansas State On The Road

Kansas baseball went on the road and handled business. The Jayhawks swept Kansas State in the Sunflower Showdown, their first three-game sweep in Manhattan since 1963, and kept one of the hottest runs in the country going. They have now won 17 of their last 18 and moved up to No. 11 nationally, their highest ranking of the season.

This team is not just winning, it is controlling games and responding when things get tight. Kansas scored 37 runs across the series, taking games 18-6, 10-8, and 9-7. The second game showed exactly who they are. They gave up five runs in the eighth and immediately answered with five in the ninth to take it back. No panic, just execution.

The offense continues to trend up. The team average is now .294 with a .401 on-base percentage and a .511 slugging percentage after the weekend. Production is coming from everywhere in the lineup, and it is showing up in big moments.

Kansas has also been dominant away from home, winning nine of its last 10 road games, which is a big reason they are sitting on top of the Big 12 with a three-game lead.

With 11 games left, the path is right there. A midweek game at Wichita State is next, followed by a key home series against Arizona. At this point, this is not just a hot streak. Kansas looks like a real Big 12 title team and is playing like one down the stretch.
