Isaiah Marshall is back with Kansas football, signaling his return for the 2026 season after posting a “locked in” message on social media Saturday.
Marshall, a redshirt freshman quarterback, is expected to compete with Cole Ballard for the Jayhawks’ starting job. The 6-foot, 215-pound Michigan native saw limited action this past season but flashed versatility when he was on the field.
The former three-star recruit Marshall completed all three of his pass attempts for 28 yards and added a meaningful wrinkle to the offense as a runner, totaling 160 rushing yards on 15 carries. Kansas leaned on his mobility in select packages, using him as an option in the run game.
Marshall’s return sets up a competitive quarterback battle as Kansas looks to build continuity and depth under center heading into the 2026 campaign.
