Kansas football is bringing back one of its most reliable playmakers and adding a proven star to the mix.

Wide receiver Cam Pickett announced he is returning to Kansas for the 2026 season, giving the Jayhawks a veteran senior target to build around as they rebuild their offense. Pickett, a junior from Chicago, started all season for Kansas in 2025 and finished with 45 receptions for 476 yards and three touchdowns, providing consistency in the passing game.

Pickett shared the news on social media with a simple message: “Locked in 2026,” signaling his commitment to run it back in Lawrence. He joins many other Jayhawks who announced their commitment to the Jayhawks in 2026 rather than entering the transfer portal or NFL Draft.

Pickett will be joined by Buffalo transfer Nik McMillan, one of the top wide receivers in the transfer portal. McMillan committed to Kansas this week after a breakout 2025 season in which he earned First Team All-MAC honors and led the conference in receiving.
