Kansas football head coach Lance Leipold announced the early signing period by adding 17 high school players on Wednesday, including six in-state signees.
“It is something that we said we wanted to do,” Leipold said on in-state recruiting. “We wanted to make sure that the area coaches knew that we were serious.”
Here’s a quick look at Kansas’ 2026 high school signing class and what Leipold has to say about some of these players during Wednesday's press conference:
RB – Kory Amachree, 6-0, 205, Haslett HS (Haslett, Mich.)
Leipold: “Speed, power…he shows flashes that make you miss. He’s got good balance…a very talented guy that, to get him out of the state of Michigan, was big for us.”
QB – Jaylen Mason, 6-2, 205, Northwest HS (Wichita, Kan.)
WR – Nate Sims, 6-1, 180, Ottawa HS (Ottawa, Kan.)
Leipold: “I think Nate’s kind of in between there. He still has solid track times…unfortunately got hurt and didn’t get to finish his senior year, but we like his speed and versatility.”
WR – Tyren Parker, 6-3, 185, Shawnee Heights HS (Topeka, Kan.)
Leipold: “Tyren’s got some of that length and big-play ability about him…a confident receiver that should be able to make an impact here.”
WR – Corbin Glasco, 5-9, 180, Denton Guyer HS (Denton, Texas)
Leipold: “Corbin…a guy with great speed, and the track speed as we continue to try to become a faster team.”
OL – Malachi Mills, 6-5, 301, Westfield HS (Carmel, Ind.)
OL – Kaden Snyder, 6-6, 290, Salina Central HS (Salina, Kan.)
Leipold: “A guy who’s matured faster than what we anticipated to get to that body size that we need, but he’s extremely athletic…you’d love to see that in an offensive lineman. We’re so excited to have him because he’s a really, really good football player.”
OL – Kaden Moody, 6-6, 300, Broken Arrow HS (Broken Arrow, Okla.)
TE – Jack Utz, 6-5, 225, Platte County HS (Kansas City, Mo.)
TE – Kevin Sullivan, 6-6, 220, Rockhurst HS (Kansas City, Mo.)
LB – Joseph Credit, 6-1, 220, Pearland HS (Pearland, Texas)
LB – Josh Galbreath, 6-3, 205, Lawrence HS (Lawrence, Kan.)
Leipold: “To keep another Lawrence High graduate in town here is important to us…He plays the game with passion and enthusiasm and I think Jayhawk fans will be excited about watching him play.”
DL – Nakwaine Carter, 6-1, 270, Southmoore HS (Oklahoma City, Okla.)
DE – Hunter Higgins, 6-5, 254, Maize South HS (Wichita, Kan.)
DE – Draeden Punt, 6-7, 220, MOC-Floyd Valley HS (Orange City, Iowa)
CB – Robert Reddick, 6-2, 175, Ben Davis HS (Indianapolis, Ind.)
CB – Trey Brown, 6-0, 180, Sierra Canyon HS (Chatsworth, Calif.)
Kansas' 2026 signing class ranks 53rd in the country according to On3's rankings. This Jayhawk class includes one 4-star (Kaden Snyder) and 16 3-stars.
