It's a bye week for the LSU Tigers, but that doesn't mean that this weekend of college football is not important to them.

Since the Tigers lost to the Ole Miss Rebels a week ago, they must pay even closer attention to what else is happening around the league.

They need teams they have already beaten to win as many games as possible, and probably want the teams they have yet to play to keep winning and setting up the best victories possible.

With LSU not playing, these are the games throughout the day that Tigers fans should keep an eye on:

    11 AM CT

Kentucky Wildcats @ No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs

LSU was ranked No. 13 after their most recent loss, which needs that they need teams ranked ahead of them to start losing or struggling so that they can jump back up.

A Wildcats win here would also give the Bulldogs a second SEC loss, helping the Tigers jump them in more ways than just one.

    2:30 PM CT

No. 9 Texas Longhorns @ Florida Gators

As odd as it may feel, LSU really should be Gators fans for the rest of the way. They already have the win over them and need as much help building out their resume as possible.

The Tigers are without a quality win right now with Florida and the Clemson Tigers struggling.

This is the Longhorns' first SEC game as well, starting them out with a loss would be ideal.

No. 16 Vanderbilt Commodores @ No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide

There isn't one specific outcome that LSU fans should be rooting for in this one, but it would still be good to watch to get a glimpse at two tough opponents that are on the board.

The Tigers are the next team that the Commodores plays, so it will be important to see just how much momentum they are carrying into that game.

    6:00 PM CT

No. 11 Texas Tech Red Raiders @ Houston Cougars

This doesn't have any SEC ties, but the Red Raiders are ranked ahead of LSU and this should be a fairly close game. This is another case of the Tigers just rooting for an upset, but this one feels more realistic than some others.

    6:30 PM CT

Mississippi State Bulldogs @ No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies

LSU actually doesn't play the Mississippi State Bulldogs this season, but they do host the Texas A&M Aggies in a couple of weeks. The Tigers will have to win that game either way, so it might serve them better to be the ones to knock them off, in terms of building out their resume.
