Three LSU Tigers find early NFL draft projections in this three-round mock draft.

The LSU Tigers develop a lot of NFL talent, even in years where they don't really shine as a team.  This year is no different, despite finishing the season 7-6.

While this won't be a season where they break records, they will still see a handful of players find spots in the league. They may not have to wait long for the first former Tiger to hear his name called, with a couple of other players pushing to get selected in the first two days of the NFL draft.

Pro Football Focus' Dalton Wasserman recently released a three-round NFL mock draft and had three LSU players going in Days 1 and 2:

No. 11 - Miami Dolphins - CB Mansoor Delane

Delane came over to the Tigers for a one-year stint and immediately entered the history books in Baton Rouge. He had one of the best individual defensive years that the school has ever seen, an impressive feat given the history of defensive backs at LSU.

It wasn't even that he put up gaudy numbers. He had 45 tackles with two interceptions and 11 passes defended. He was just so good that he didn't have the chance to put up those big stats.

The cornerback was targeted just 35 times all season and allowed 14 catches. He did not allow a single reception of 30 yards or more.

No. 33 - New York Jets - S A.J. Haulcy

Haulcy, like Delane, transferred over in his final year in hopes of building up his NFL stock. Also like Delasne, he completed his task. He's a dark horse to go in the first round and should certainly be the second safety taken. Only Caleb Downs, the Jim Thorpe Award winner, is expected to go above him at the position.

The former Houston Cougars star was suspended for his first half as a Tiger. He made an immediate impact against the Clemson Tigers in the second half and never let up.

Haulcy led LSU with 88 tackles, adding three interceptions, a forced fumble and four passes broken up.

No. 85 - Pittsburgh Steelers - QB Garrett Nussmeier

Nussmeier entered last year with hopes of becoming the No. 1 overall pick. Now, he's dropped to Round 3.

It could be far worse, though. He really didn't play up to the level of a third-round pick this season, but he wasn't healthy, and it appears that teams will consider that. He has the tools and enough healthy tape to show teams that he should still at least get a look in the NFL.

In his last healthy season, he threw for over 4,052 yards. Whichever team takes a swing on him could get a major steal.
