With 94 days until kickoff for the LSU Tigers, it's time to highlight the next player to don that jersey number in Baton Rouge.

The LSU Tigers football season is inching closer, now down to double digits on the countdown clock. Kickoff against the Clemson Tigers is now just 94 days away.

As we continue to look back at the history of the Bayou Bandits to celebrate and prepare heading into the first game, there is also the matter of getting to know the current-day players.

Here is a look at the past and present of No. 94 at LSU:

No. 94 - DL Richard Anderson

Anderson comes in as one of the top players in his high school class and one of the centerpieces of the Tigers' elite group of defensive line recruits. He was the No. 17 overall player in the nation on 247Sports' composite rankings, the second player in LSU's class behind Lamar Brown.

Coming in listed at 6-foot-3, 339 pounds, Anderson has field-ready size from the jump. He's leaned out a bit since arriving on campus and could realistically compete if the team decides he is ready. He is an immense talent, so he'll be on watch to play at all times.

The Edna Karr HS dominated in all phases of defense with double-digit sacks in his senior season. His size would lead people to believe he's not athletic as he actually is.

No matter what he does as a freshman, the future is extremely bright for Anderson. He has the skills to play on every down and be a complete threat up the middle on defense. There is endless potential at play here for the Tigers.

Highlighting Former Players Who Wore No. 94

DE Danielle Hunter (2012-2014)

Hunter is more known for his NFL career, but he was a disruptive defensive end back in his college days as well. He had 142 tackles with 21.0 TFLs and 4.5 sacks over three years at LSU (though only two where he really played). He was a third-round draft pick, and few expected him to be as good as he has been at the next level.

The 31-year-old is preparing for his 11th season in the NFL. He has 114.5 career sacks, which is tied for No. 37 all-time.

DL Booger McFarland (1995-1998)

McFarland is one of the more recognizable alumni because of his post-playing career as a TV analyst. He was All-SEC and an All-American in college and won two Super Bowls as a player with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Indianapolis Colts.
