Ex-LSU Tigers Stars Enter Most Important Day Of NFL Combine With Chance To Wow cover image

The LSU Tigers' top talent lights up the combine today as running backs, wide receivers and quarterbacks hit the field. Elite speed, agility, and throwing power will define their draft destinies.

The first couple of days of the NFL Scouting Combine have gone by, and only a couple of the invited former LSU Tigers players have actually worked out on the field. That will change on Saturday as it will be the most important day for the school's draft hopes.

Saturday calls on the running backs, wide receivers and quarterbacks to do their measurements and athletic testing. That brings five Tigers to the table, all with a chance to heavily impact their draft status at the event.

Here's every former LSU player who will hit the field:

QB Garrett Nussmeier

Nussmeier was able to throw at the Senior Bowl while not being 100% healthy, and still stood out amongst the competition there. Now, he's only getting healthier and is set to throw again.

It'll be interesting to see if he decides to run the 40-yard dash. It would be fairly surprising, unless he is fully healthy and has been able to train. He may wait for the pro day.

WR Aaron Anderson

Anderson needs a good 40-time and great agility skill tests at his size. The cards are definitely stacked against 5-foot-8 players in the NFL, but it's not impossible to contribute.

The New Orleans native's best hope is to be an impactful slot player at the next level. He will need to show teams his explosiveness and quick footwork in the drills.

WR Chris Hilton

Hilton has had a wonderful pre-draft process so far, becoming the first player ever to play in four different postseason All-Star games. His Tigers career didn't play out as he had hoped, constantly battling injury, but he's finally getting some recognition.

The speedy wide receiver certainly has a chance to be the fastest player at the combine. He needs to put up whatever gaudy numbers he can to overcome the lack of production in college. It'll also help him if he can do well in the on-field drills, showing that he's more than just speed.

WR Barion Brown

Brown is one of the players who was hurt most by the Nussmeier injury. It was so exciting when LSU signed him because of the potential downfield threat he could be with his speed. He's another player who could definitely end up with the fastest time of the week.

WR Zavion Thomas

Thomas should test very well. He showcased his ability to change the game with his speed and versatility. He made big plays catching the ball, running with it and in the return game throughout his career.
