There were four LSU Tigers stars named among the recipients of SEC honors.
The LSU Tigers Women's Basketball team has made it through the 2026 regular season and sit at 26-4 with their first game of the SEC tournament on Friday against the Oklahoma Sooners.
It wasn't a perfect season, but they're still finishing the season ranked No.6, which would tie the highest finish for the AP Poll in the Kim Mulkey era and highest since 2005/2006.
The Tigers didn't have a bunch of gaudy individual numbers this year. MiLaysia Fulwiley led the team with 14.1 points, but it was well-rounded. A lot of different players shared the shine. With that, a number of different players received year-end honors from the conference.
The SEC released their 2026 season honors earlier in the week. Here are the LSU players who received honors:
Flau'jae Johnson - All-SEC First Team
Johnson could have gone to the WNBA draft last year after scoring 18.6 points per night along with her strong rebounding and defensive skills. Instead she came back for another season and decided to do whatever it takes to get this team back in position to win another championship.
It might have been a weaker year on paper, but she played her role well. She should be able to handle a bigger workload in the SEC and NCAA tournaments.
Mikaylah Williams - All-SEC First Team
Williams, like Johnson, didn't put up the same big numbers that she did last season, but still showed it was more scheme than anything. She still shot an incredible 50.5% from the field and 41.0% from three.
The Tigers should lean on her far more in the tournament. When she takes over, good things happen. She was missing from some of their bigger losses on the year and it showed.
MiLaysia Fulwiley - SEC Sixth Woman of the Year
The transition of Fulwiley into a point guard was a massive success for Mulkey. She came in and led the second unit with ease. As mentioned above, she led the team in scoring this season. He also had 3.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. It's a shame that she wasn't on the All-Defense team.
The former South Carolina Gamecock will be crucial to their success in these two tourneys.
ZaKiyah Johnson - SEC All-Freshman
Johnson came in with very high expectations as a freshman and looked every bit of the part. She averaged 10.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists while shooting 59.2% from the field.
The only thing she really needs to add to her game is some three-point shooting. She was 2-for-3 on her attempts this year and all came late. She has said that she wants to work on that, because she shot more in high school.
