A rundown of the four 2027 commits the LSU Tigers have picked up over the past 48 hours.
The past two days have been about as good as the LSU Tigers coaching staff could have hoped for, as they have landed four 2027 commits in that short period of time, including an elite five star pass rusher.
Lane Kiffin did a good job of putting the finishing touches on the 2026 recruiting class, but this is the first full-year cycle that he gets as the Tigers' head coach. They've been off to a good start quality-wise, and now pick up a little bit of volume to go with it.
Here's the latest wave of new LSU players to know:
EDGE KJ Green
Green is the most talked-about recruit and the biggest win so far, as he is an elite pass rusher who cannot only replace, but potentially improve upon, what they lost to the Miami Hurricanes just a few days ago in Jaiden Bryant.
The Tigers have heavily invested into turning their defensive line into an top-end unit, after it was their biggest weakness last year. They got a few top transfer portal players, four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson last season and now have another incoming freshman who will be ready to contribute right away in Green.
RB Brennen Lacy
Kiffin has had past success with a running back with the last name Lacy, so why not try again. There is no relation to Ole Miss Rebels standout Kewan Lacy, but Brennen also carries game-changing speed and athleticism.
The Frisco, Texas native is a three-star running back and isn't a particularly highly-ranked recruit, but it doesn't take much searching to see what LSU likes about him. He has good size at around 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, ran track and competed in the high jump. He could be very fun in Kiffin's offense.
WR Cade Cooper
Kiffin and his staff has done a great job at recruiting wide receivers so far. They completely refreshed the room this past season in the transfer portal and now have three four-star wide receivers in the 2027 class, and could have another coming in Easton Royal.
Cooper is listed at around 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. At the very least, he brings in great size for the position. The 247Sports composite rankings have him as a four star, the No. 297 overall player in the class and the No. 37 wide receiver.
CB Markez Davis
Like with Kiffin's offensive recruiting prowess, Corey Raymond is another recruiter who should be trusted in what talent they find. Davis is the No. 744-ranked player on the 247Sports composite rankings, but also has plenty of tools to be excited about.
He holds a great frame at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, competed in track and played basketball in high school. This is a fantastic athlete who should have a lot to learn from Raymond.
