Spanish forward Noa Morro joins the LSU Tigers, bringing international skill and much-needed shooting to transform the Tigers' frontcourt.

The LSU Tigers Women's basketball team dipped its toes into the international waters with its latest signing, adding Spanish standout forward Noa Morro, per an announcement on Monday.

Morro will bring a much-needed presence to the Tigers' front-court, which was missing on last year's squad. The 6-foot-3 forward averaged 8.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for KutxaBank Araski of the Liga Femenina de Baloncesto (Women's Basketball League).

Kim Mulkey had this to say on the team's announcement of the addition:

"Noa is a player we’re excited to welcome to LSU. She brings size, skill, and versatility to our team, and her ability to step out and shoot the three makes her an exciting fit for the way the game is played today. She has competed at a high level, and we believe Tiger fans are going to love what she brings to this program. We’re excited to see her in purple and gold.”

Morro's ability to shoot the three-pointer could transform this offense. There isn't always much space for LSU's players to work with in the paint because the three isn't a big part of Mulkey's game plan.

Aneesah Morrow's ability to stretch the floor while also be dominant in the paint is part of what made her valuable, and even she still shot just 24.5% from three with the Tigers. Morro shot 36.5% from three on 74 attempts.

Though it was already in the plans, adding Morro will make the ZaKiyah Johnson transition from a four to a three, allowing her to tap into more of the skills that made her so dynamic in high school. That means even more shooting being injected into the lineup.

LSU needed to work on its front-court, and this is one of the more exciting ways they could have done it. The 21-year-old will bring some experience and high potential to the floor next year.
