LSU Tigers 2027 QB commit Peyton Houston put on a great performance in the Elite 11 competition.

The LSU Tigers should already have their next cornerstone quarterback already picked out, and now he’s dominating the All-Star circuit ahead of his senior season in high school.

Evangel Christian Academy quarterback Peyton Houston has been putting on a show for the Elite 11 Finals, which is a competition held each year between seniors every season. Some of the top college quarterbacks of all time have played in it, including Andrew Luck and Jayden Daniels.

After the first two days, Houston finished ranked second both times. He was behind only Trae Taylor, who ended up being named the MVP of the event.

Houston, however, would’ve been just as good of a choice. He was completely dominant all weekend long and only missed a handful of passes. The Tigers have to be ecstatic about his performance, no matter that he didn’t win MVP.

Houston has been a longtime LSU commit, making it known that he wants to go to his dream school. He committed under Brian Kelly, but never wavered under Lane Kiffin. In fact, Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels staff were the first to offer the passer.

He has been very active in recruiting for the school and certainly plans to take over the starting quarterback role. As of now, the timing lines up perfectly with both Sam Leavitt and Husan Longstreet, who are expected to fill at least the next two years.

If the passer was not under 6-foot, Houston would be touted as one of the best in the class. Luckily, it’s far easier to make shorter quarterbacks work in college than professionally.
