The LSU Tigers are back in the top 25 rankings after winning back-to-back SEC series.

A historic LSU Tigers performance came on Sunday in the form of four home runs for Cade Arrambide. Any win in the SEC is big right now, but this was crucial as it gave the Tigers their second straight conference series win.

After a couple of weeks off, LSU has now proven enough to sneak back into the top 25. D1Baseball released its most recent ranking on Monday morning and the Tigers come in at No. 24.

LSU, the Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Volunteers were all hovering around the same spot. The Tigers rose above and now get that low-20s ranking. LSU will stay on the road this weekend as they face the No. 25 Ole Miss Rebels, giving LSU another opportunity against a team near its level.

It's hard for the player of the week not to be Cade Arrambide, even though he only really played in two games. He went 6-for-10 with four home runs and seven RBI. It was the first four-home run performance in school history.

Derek Curiel also came back to life this week, looking every part of the star that he can be. He went 8-for-16 with two home runs, a triple and nine RBI. He is looking good in the cleanup role.

The Tigers as a whole are slowly looking more and more like the team that they expected to be. The defense still had some crucial mistakes, and the offense didn't produce on Saturday, but no one is asking LSU to be perfect every game.

They showed that they can still compete and have the heart to fight back in games. This should have been a massive confidence-building week for the program.
